Hello. I am not sure if this works, but I'm desperate so I thought I'd give this a try. I am a 1 year volunteer intern/missionary at the Los Angeles Dream Center. It is a non-profit organization helping the homeless and inner city residents of L.A., as well as offering rehabilitation services to the community through several different programs.
I love what I do and desperately want to be able to fulfill my entire year here (which runs through September 2008). Unfortunately, I am working at this place for free. I raised some money for this year, but have run out of it and have been unable to start working part time due to the busyness of my schedule here. We are extra busy this month due to lots of extra outreaches and free gift offerings for Christmas.
I plan to get work ASAP, but my bills are due this week and I'm in a critical spot. My next credit card payment (currently not behind) is due the 19th of December and I am about $100 short of what I need to pay it.
I am praying for a miracle here for some person or persons to help me out in time. I would love donations, but I am not even looking for a handout. I'd be thrilled if someone could loan it to me and let me pay it back to you.
